The traditional way of getting legal help asks a lot before it gives anything: Money up front, an open-ended commitment, and little control over where the matter goes or what it costs. Legal HD gives you the lawyer without all of that.
Each session is a standalone conversation with an experienced attorney who delivers legal advice and counsel on your schedule, on your terms, and without taking time or cost out of your hands.
Legal HD is provided by the law firm of Farwell Rashkis, LLP — so you will talk to a real attorney, not a referral service or AI chat bot.

Client testimonials are not a guarantee of a particular outcome. Each client situation is unique.
Booking is simple:
The entire process takes just a few minutes.
By phone, video, or in person, Legal HD offers the opportunity to connect directly with an experienced attorney to ask questions, raise concerns, and get clear, thoughtful advice -- without long waits, retainers, or pressure to sign an open ended engagement. And the best part...you control the cost.
For scheduling purposes, we book sessions in 60-minute blocks, but that is nothing more than a placeholder. You decide how long or short your session will be.* It is your session.
If you get what you need in 10 minutes, then your session will be 10 minutes.* If you need two hours, then your session will be two hours.* Legal HD is a client driven service. You are in control.
(*) Some sessions may require preparation or follow-up time, which will increase the total session cost. The service is designed to keep prep and follow-up time to no more than 15 minutes for each. If your lawyer needs more time, you will be able to say yes or no before any additional time is spent.
Most individuals and small business owners handle legal questions the same way — they search the internet, ask their accountant or a trusted advisor, lean on a friend who happens to be a lawyer, or just push the issue aside and hope it resolves itself. And when they do try to engage a law firm, they're often quoted a retainer that doesn't make sense for a single question or told their matter isn't the right fit.
These aren't bad instincts. But none of them give you what you actually need — real legal advice from a licensed attorney who represents your interests and is focused entirely on your situation.
That's what Legal HD provides. No retainer, no ongoing representation, no waiting to find out if a firm will even take your call. You book a session, you talk to your attorney, and you get the guidance you need to make an informed decision about how to handle your situation.
Legal HD Advice & Counsel handles a wide variety of subject matters. Some of the legal topics and areas of law that are the subject of Legal HD sessions include:
At Legal HD, we do our best to be in a position to speak intelligently and competently about as many areas of the law as possible, and as a client driven service, we want to answer your questions and assist you as best we can. We don’t want you wondering if we can answer your questions. We simply want you to ask them.
If we are unfamiliar with the area of the law your situation gravitates toward, we won’t waste your time and resources pretending we know something we don’t, and if we can get you to an attorney who is familiar with the area of law at the heart of your question, concern, or matter, we will do our best to get you to that lawyer.
Legal HD also help clients understand the practical side of legal matters — things like how to respond to a demand letter, what to expect at a court hearing, how to read and understand legal documents, and what steps to take (and in what order) when facing a legal situation for the first time.
Not sure if we can help? Just ask — if we can't, we'll point you to someone who can.
Foundational questions often answered or touched on through Legal HD are:
No, because you are hiring a lawyer when you book a Legal HD session. Legal HD provides standalone legal advice and counsel, meaning you get real legal advice on a specific question or situation from a licensed attorney who represents your interests for the duration of the session.
The difference isn't whether you have a lawyer — it's the scope of the engagement. Instead of signing on for a full, ongoing representation, you get focused guidance on the issue in front of you.
If your attorney believes your situation calls for something more comprehensive, they will tell you and help you understand what a full scope representation might look like and how much it might cost.
Legal HD sessions are charged on a per-minute rate starting at $5 per minute for one-on-one sessions and $7.50 per minute for joint sessions of two or more people. The rate applies to all time spent in connection with your session — preparation, the conversation with your attorney, and any follow-up.
There's no retainer required. An authorization hold for one hour of time is placed on your payment method when you book, and after your session, you're billed only for the actual time spent by your attorney.
